The inspiration for the Gaudi blue mosaic scarf

Since the Fibra Creativa studio is located in Catalonia near Barcelona, creating a beautiful scarf in homage to the brilliant architect Antoni Gaudí was an obvious choice. More than the facades of the Casa Millà or the Sagrada Familia, it was his broken ceramic mosaics, called "trencadis" in Catalan, that I immediately imagined as a scarf design.

The windy bench in the Park Güell, near the famous lizard, is decorated with my favorite mosaic, which became our first Gaudi scarf. The broken ceramic patterns bring originality and interest, while the dominant blue and beige colors make this scarf elegant and easy to coordinate with any navy, gray or beige outfit.

Instead of a classic silk scarf, I chose to adorn a circular scarf made of double layer silk twill with this mosaic. A snood, artistic and elegant version. I love this original format, so easy to wear. The silk twill has a superb "hand", and is absolutely scratch-free.

The making of this circular silk scarf Gaudi Barcelona

As with all our silk scarves, the fabric is hand-printed in Catalonia on Italian silk. High definition direct digital printing allows for beautiful color shades and fine detail. The inks do not contain solvents.

The finishing touches (cutting and hemming) are made with care by specialized local seamstresses. This double-layered circular scarf is machine sewn on the reverse side, then turned inside out and closed by hand.
